Chelsi graduated from the Academy of Art University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art history and has always held an appreciation for culturally inspired art.

Her senior thesis in college was about the feminist icon, Frida Kahlo, and how she drew attention to women’s issues that were not widely discussed at the time. Kahlo, like Chelsi, overcame debilitating physical limitations to continue to create.
